We just got Dreamforce out of the building and now the damn cars are coming! I’m just tired. We have the Supra on our graphics, so I am sure I will get to see one in person for the first time. I will take pics.

I had heard they are better in person. I live in Marin and I haven’t seen a single one. There is an NSX down the street but no Supras.

Well I sometimes drive cars in and hook them up to power etc.. I can see all the stuff up close for a couple days, sit in them and no crowds.

Can’t wait. I had to skip last year and “settle” for the LA show. Yes, I know it’s the same cars but the ride & drives are actually manageable in SF.

I have also driven a bunch of them slowly. I can only comment on visibility and interior quality/comfort. But I do sit in as many as I can. They don’t care if we sit in them. We pull a bunch of the fuses once they are on house power.

I have installed LA a couple times, they get a lot more stuff, some cars go to LA and not SF. There was no Type R up here but it was in LA for example.

Neat. I was on my way to work a couple years ago and I got caught in the setup traffic as they unload the cars off trucks. I ended up sitting next to the brand new GT350R right there on Howard St as it was getting ready to enter. I just remember thinking “how is that exhaust even legal?”

I don’t know if I’ll make it this year. I went last year and drove the ND Miata but was super disappointed with the route. Sitting in traffic in an automatic Miata isn’t any type of experience you want. The floor was missing a lot of important cars and some of the more interesting ones (like Cadillac V models) were roped off. The only thing that makes me want to come this year is to drive a Gladiator without sales pressure but again, probably a bad choice for SF streets.

Well this show is pretty light, not like LA at all. We usually don’t get the stuff the media wants to see.
